Basement & Cellar Tanking

Tanking is the term given to the installation of a waterproofing system within a basement or cellar.

Two Methods of Tanking

When tanking basements or cellars, one of two methods are traditionally employed:

1. Applying a cementitious waterproofing product.

This is often accompanied by applying liquid rubber products and self-healing membranes which mechanically bond the elements together.

2. Apply a damp proof membrane to the interior wall

Essentially, this is a sheet of polypropylene applied as overlapping layers. The separate sheets are bonded together and plastered over.

Would highly recommend this company in the future.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Really professional team who removed old plaster, inserted a damp-proof course and re-plastered. Really impressed with Aiden's finishing plastering on day 2 who was meticulous in checking over his work several times to ensure a perfect finish. All the team were very tidy over the 2 days and cleaned up removing all waste.
